10.01.2016 Southampton
Catching up on old times. Our dear friends Reg & Sylvia, who live on the Isle of Wight, made their was over from the Island to Southampton to spend some hours with us while our ship lay in dock. We met them off their ferry. Reg and I, Linda, grew up together in our small village of Wood End in Warwickshire. Sylvia and I had worked for the same company in Birmingham and consequently it was I who had introduced them to each other at a Christmas party at Reg´s home, and this was the same evening that Peter proposed to me! So here we are 50 years down the road. Mr & Mrs Foster and Mr & Mrs Peinemann and still very good friends.
We had a fun day. On our walk around Southampton we visited the Tudor Museum and had lunch together at the Duke of Wellington pub. We are looking forward to seeing them both again on 10th May on our return journey.
