16th January 2016 At Sea
After departure yesterday Queen Elizabeth began her 2800 nautical mile run south towards Jamestown. Throughout the course of the day Queen Elizabeth will follow the coast of Morocco and the Mauritania. At some points we shall be passing at a distance of approximately 20 nautical miles off the coast.
The entertainment on board is extremely good. It varies from games of various types to hobbies such as painting, embroidery, computer seminars to various music activities such as dancing lessons, line dancing, evening shows, disco etc., etc. There is a really good and beautiful library on board and just outside the library there is always the opportunity to listen to a harp player, pianist or classical music trio.
Today we played “Paddle Tennis”. The court is similar to a tennis court but much smaller and you do not use rackets but hard wooden bats.
